Jacob Camara, BA, LMT, Owner

As a licensed massage therapist and owner of two massage businesses, Jacob is dedicated to offering the best and most effective massage and bodywork possible. Now living in Nashville, Tennessee where he works as a self employed licensed massage therapist at Brentwood Massage and Bodywork, Jacob manages Eugene Massage and Bodywork from out of state.

Jacob grew up in a small Vermont town and eventually made his way west to Boulder, Colorado where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies at Naropa University. In Northern California he attended the Heartwood Institute for Massage, and pursued further massage studies living on Kauai, Hawaii studying with Lee Joseph at The Pacific Center for Awareness and Bodywork, where he completed a 700 hour program in 2014.

Jacob passed the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork Exam and the Oregon Board of Massage Therapist Practical Exam in 2014 and became a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in the state of Oregon in 2015. He worked as a massage therapist in a chiropractic setting for one year, gaining experience and knowledge before opening Eugene Massage and Bodywork in early 2016. In 2025 he relocated to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue music and opened Brentwood Massage and Bodywork.

When not working at the office Jacob can be found exercising, or napping with his cats, and by night he is a professional musician/songwriter, performing in the US and Europe as a solo artist as well as with his bluegrass band, The Muddy Souls.

A graduate of the Heartwood Institute (2005), Naropa University (2012) and the Pacific Center for Awareness and Bodywork (2014), and a student of yoga, meditation, anatomy, and the healing arts for over 13 years, Jacob also has more than 900 hours of massage and bodywork education.

Prior to founding Eugene Massage and Bodywork Jacob gained experience and training as an employee in chiropractic and integrative health clinics treating a wide variety of chronic pain and movement dysfunction conditions, helping hundreds of clients return to a pain free and active lifestyle.

As a lifelong learner, Jacob attends regular seminars and receives bodywork from a variety of practitioners to supplement his own self study.
